i saw this last night and just came across it again, i couldn't remenber why i hadn't flagged it, then I read it again.

I love the first paragraph it is nicely ordinary yet quirky 'flavoured milk'.

but the end leaves me unsure, is it funny or tragic?

I think you can go with Spack on this one, it is supposed to be a light hearted ending. I just liked the idea of someone who is facing their own worst nightmare taking time to wryly acknowledge the fact. Unless you want him to die, in which case ignore this. He dies a horrible death. Up to you really
