An open letter of apology to Mykle

Dear Mykle,

A few days ago I called you a stalker, a cheat and a liar. I also invited you to sue me.

Having reflected upon this for a few days, and my being skint, and knowing your propensity for aggression in the face of adversity, I've come to recognise my errors and now beg your forgiveness:

1) Stalker: I've re-read the thread I mentioned, and me accusing you of stalking is way out of order. I'm sorry. The lady in question only had to change her name twice in order to avoid you. That was probably paranoia on her part and not harrassment or obsessiveness on your part- definitely not stalking.
Please forgive me.

2) Cheat: Again, sorry. Someone - a long time ago - emailed me to say that you sat by your PC all day self-hitting your stories in order to get them into the 'most read' category. That category doesn't exist anymore so one can only assume - from your recent writings - that you have a huge fan club! Even today, when bugger-all else has been read, your story has clocked up an astonshing 92 reads. I hadn't realized you had such a huge fan-base, Mykle, my apologies. Strange tho' that your fans come in swathes: forty-odd reads between upload (9.22 am) and my first visit to the site (1pm) and then another forty-odd reads by the time of my second visit (9pm) and only 1 since then. If I were you, I'd get onto abctales management (you've done it before) and demand an investigation into this strange hit-behaviour. I apologise, without reservation, for calling you a cheat.

3) Liar: This came about because you - apparently - denied accusations of cheating. Damn right, Mykle! I'd deny them too,,, and I'd take legal action to boot! There was, however, a rumour that you invented another person and proceeded to have conversations with yourself but that is pure supposition. If I were you, I'd either sue abctales, or fuck off in embarressment.

Anyway, I'm truly very sorry for you.

Thanks for the apology Joe :O) Always good when people finally see the error of their ways. As for my huge fan base - I suspect it's not as large as it might seem since I've done quite a bit of editing of the piece and that seems to have inflated the number of hits disproportionately. I'm sorry for you too :O)

Wow! Amazing that you come online within three minutes of me posting. Others would accuse you of lurking, but not me! Power by coincidence, I say! Glad you are editing on-line... I used to think that it was best to get a piece as near perfect as possible before unleashing it into cyberspace but not you ... oh no ... you have shown me the way, Mykle: type garbage into abc then edit 80 times! Anyway, sorry once again. :0)

It has become painfully obvious that your many "characters" have been the root cause of so much of the trouble that has plagued ABC and decimated the forums over the years. I'm not sure it can be taken *quite* that lightly, maddan, although I applaud the sentiment. Mr Novak (aka a few other names) is making some rather serious and nasty allegations on a public forum, all of which seem to be related to some past incident or other, which Mr Novak seems unable to let go of. I can't see why anyone would possibly want to expend so much energy being nasty to someone else over some past happening, and lead such a protracted campaign of bile and poison against someone else. What's the point? Especially since these alleged incidents apparently didn't even happen to Mr Novak personally, but someone else. Can't s/he fight his/her own fights, if s/he chooses? Mr Novak clearly has some power and anger issues; I'd suggest counselling. Bullying amongst grownups is even uglier than amongst kids, as grownups really should know better, especially by middle age.

Hahaha. I'm sure you're right Dan. What's that old saying? Ah, yes: I know I'm paranoid... but am I paranoid enough? Fortunately I'm off back to the 'Land Of Smiles' soon where there is no paranoia. Actually, Ag, I did get a real sense of apology hiding beneath the snide sarcasm but, as you say, there is also a sense of a deep-seated need for revenge which borders on the pathological. Take the pills Joe!

I'd made up my mind a while back that I was going to stay off this forum, simply because it's crap these days. That is in part due to Mykle (whom I prefer to call slimey, a moniker that's been picked up on by several others, including trolls. Yes, they still exist. I gave him the name as an anagram of 'Smiley', a name he chose to use to confuse everyone? into believing he was actually Tim, whose real name is Smilie, the name he used to post under before Mykle rendered his name unusable). Anyway I digress. Mykle has always been a pain in the arse though not a lone pain in a lone arse. I feel obliged to put in my twopennorth to clear up a few details. In the past he's mounted a campaign against me in the company of others to get me banned from ABC. The 'facts' he used to support that campaign were lies. He eventually apologised. I was not in an accepting mood, (and am still not). There are several other episodes I could elucidate, but firstly, I won't use the names of friends on here in a mud-slinging match, and secondly it would involve the posting of personal email sent to me and I will not do that either. All the above is stuff that happened in the past and it would probably be better to forget it all. The problem I have is he keeps rearing his head in my face and I find it mildly annoying. The real point of this post is to tell Mykle, and everyone else here that isn't aware of the fact, I AM NOT, AND HAVE NEVER BEEN, JOE NOVAK. IS THAT CLEAR TO EVERYONE? I REPEAT, I AM NOT JOE NOVAK. Thank you.

Yan, I like your style, it made me smile. As for the identity of Joe - well, who cares really? I thought it was George imitating the style of someone he once described as his "Better" because I couldn't bring myself to believe that drink could do so much damage in such a relatively short time. So whoever you are Joe - get well soon! However, the real point is that poisonous personal attacks on the character of an individual is the last refuge of either the desperate or the deranged. In either case it should not be acceptable and since the editors seem to be able to edit posts I would recommend they start removing words like "kocksooker" rather than adding them. This said, I don't really like the idea of anyone but me being able to edit my posts and I can't really see why anyone needs the power to do so... I think we need a reassurance that this will never happen again!
