I'm just going outside..

.. I may be a while.

Enjoy. And no heavy lifting!
Are you at the South Pole or something Missi? Take care mate. I worry about you.
Thanks for your concern Bruce but don't go fretting over me, it unnerves me! Not the S Pole. I'm supposed to be making a road trip from Sacramento to Nashville with a truck load of house contents, but my friend whose stuff it is, had an accident 8 weeks ago, (he jumped in the shallow end of his swimming pool and broke an ankle!), and he's not sure if he'll be fit enough to make the trip, in which case I'll be spending a month in Nashville. I leave in the morning. I've told him I won't do anything more strenuous than taking a shower and getting dressed, Cath.

Have a good time, Missi. This is the best time of year to do *any* sort of travelling in the States.
Glad to hear you're OK. It's just that your words had an uncanny similarity to those of Captain Oates at the South Pole. I was getting 1912 déjà vu all over again. Really envious of where you are though. Always fancied heading out that way myself, driving through the southern states, telling everyone I'm from London England. But then there's all that worry about the guns. I think you did the right thing leaving them at home.
Bruce, it was meant to be a direct quote from Captain Oates, at least as far as I remember it. The guns aren't really a worry, I've been there 10 times in the last 30 months and the only guns I've seen are strapped to the hips of the cops.

Wonderful quote, by the way. It was just that it had a slightly ominous ring to it, which was why I originally queried it? Have a great time mate.
