I really liked this, although I was left with questions, the main one being - why did Brodie leave her behind? I think there needs to be a hint if this, or a little more information given to satisfy. If this is part of a longer work, then ignore me! Other than that, a quick read, with some interesting and inventive descriptions of the sea. You really bought it to life. Lisa

hi LIsa, sorry about the late reply, I've been away. Thanks for your review. It is a stand-alone story I wrote for a competition with the sea as its theme. I was trying to write about how we will do just about anything to survive. In the heroine's case, she reaches inside herself to find some inner strength. In her boyfriend's case, he simply runs away. It's not meant to be too deep! Best of luck wiht your writing Briarcal
