I quite like this piece and I think it makes a good point but I think the swearing is unnecesary and detracts from the whole. I am not against swearing and actually promote it; verbally. However in a written piece such as this one has to be wary of dropping bellow certain lines.

Hi Thanks for your comments! This is my first posting on abctales and obviously I'm delighted to get any reaction at all. I'm enjoying looking around and reading people's stuff and I'm sure you'll be seeing me pop up on the forums. Phil - sorry if the profanity offended and you've probably got a point. But the thing is, the concept of my friend Brian Vallery's blog (to which I've been signed up as a contributor), is a piece of exactly five hundred words. In this case I was one short, and turned instinctively to you-know-what.

Hi Barney, I am not offended by the profanity I just feel that it is not necesary in a piece like this. However I understand the restrictions of word counts.
