Ratings for poems and stories
Hi all,
Can I please have some guidance on the ratings of poems?
I'm not completly sure what is considered an 18 for example. I sometimes swear and sometimes write sexual content in poems and am aware of younger readers and writers which this may not be appropriate to and still not completly sure what is what. I tend to certify a lot of stuff as just universal since I don't know how exactly to certify it.
Just posted a poem with one swear word in it. I certified it as a 12. (?)
Editors, please feel free to re-certify any of my poems which content you feel is not appropriate for the rating I gave it.
Many thanks
Soraia
Soraia,
You tend to get it right! 18 is for blatant sexual or violent pieces, 15 is for some of that stuff - but not too hard, 12 can take a bit of gentle swearing and so on.
Thanks Tony!
