AND MAY YOUR GOD GO WITH YOU
It, I fear is the beginning of the end. The stories are rife. There will be some sort of retalitiary measures enforced over the next few days. I truly hope that they are short and shrift, I fear that they will not.
I therefore say to all, disregarding, creed, colour or nationality: MAY YOUR GOD GO WITH YOU.
AJ
When I read it late last week, there were two pieces on theonion.com: one was the God (thou shalt not kill piece) and the other was the terrorists in hell piece. Maybe they aren't both on the site anymore, but they were when I looked at it.
Two articles below the 'terrorists in Hell' thing, Justyn, after the cake-baking lady. Still there. Did you check out any of the older stuff?
No apologies, I don't tend to think that what is about to happen to innocent people in Afghanistan a humorous nor light-hearted subject.
AJ
Okay AJ your right i know, sorry, i know you don't want apologies but i do agree with you. Of course it isn't going to seem like i do now but no one wants anything bad to happen the world is in a mess as it is. The risk of innocent lives is the last hing anyone wants which is why we all hope for this situation to be ended in the most peaceful way possible.
Thanks meremortal.
AJ
I wasn't too impressed by the killing of innocent people in New York, actually.
Hi,
Andrea, we seem to have our wires xx a bit here. I was replying to your response of the 10-05-01 re: barrel of laughs. Must admit can't seem to want to go to a 'comic site' about atrocities!!
PS to all: We may rejoice today in the return of the journalist E. Ridley. How many of you know that because of her stupidity (all in the name of journalism, of which I'm sure she'll make a packet) has cost the lives of her two guides, who have been excecuted.
AJ
re your ps: for once aj I find myself in total agreement with you.
notice she hasn't come home to her crying daughter and loving mother yet, so busy is she filing her 'story' from Pakistan.
At the risk of upsetting people (actually, I don't think it will) there's a very funny article on the front page of www.theonion.com entitled 'God Angrily Clarifies "Don't Kill" Rule'.
On second thought, maybe it might.
Ah well...too late, I've gorn an' posted it now.
Hey YOU, God (went without them)
How dare you deem to think what I think, without reading ALL of my previous threads. Had you but bothered you would have realized that I abhor all forms of violence. At least I have the honesty to use my real name and e-mail address, that's what wrong with YOU and YOUR sort, take the P..s, but always hide behind that damn shield.
Watch the news tonight, I dare you, then tell me that YOU feel euphoric about the innocent and oppressed people of Afghanistan dying.
AJ
PS Andrea, I thought more highly of you!!!
Sorry, AJ, wires crossed indeed. Although that was said tongue in cheek too (as usual).
Actually, AJ, the site is in no way 'making' fun' of atrocities, merely poking eloquent fun at the absurdity of human nature. They have hundreds of extremely amusing articles about just about everything.
Agree with you and Stormy, too, re the Ridley woman. She certainly went as far as it's possible to go to be published (see Em's thread)!
Hi Andrea,
Friends again.
AJ :>)
ta
The stories are rife?
What about the poems?
I think a pre-emptive strike on the cherry pickers is long overdue.
Gawd, AJ, you're a right barrel of laughs these days...
It describes how the WTC terrorists have found themselves in the waiting room of hell, a kind of pre-torture chamber, in full view of heaven so they know what they are missing out on, while Satan is "warming them up" for the main event of eternal damnation.
Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
No it don't Justyn - you've got the wrong article, mate (though that's a good one, too).
AJ, re 'I thought more highly of you'.
Did you actually read the article? If not, please don't do a Mary Whitehouse and, if and when you do read it, I think you'll find that the author (whose name I've since forgotton) is on the same side as you are.
None of us, I am sure, feel 'euphoric', or even remotely close to it, about the wretched conditions that the Afghan people find themselves in and all of us, I'm convinced, feel the deepest sympathy and compassion for those innocent people who are in danger.
Furthermore, if you think I'm 'making light' of the current situation, I'm afraid you do me a deep injustice. I, too. have a 12-year-old whose future is very much in the balance.
It's true the end is nigh!! let the doomsday speeches now commence. In the dawn of a new age civilisation shall be purged of the evil man has wrought.....................Finally we will be free of cheesy pop tunes and the soul destroying comedy stylings of the cosby shows!!!!!!! LET US WALK IN THE LIGHT!! sorry didn't mean to take away from the general feel of the thread....just trying to "lighten" things up a little...
