Favourite thread

OK, so it's a bit self referential, but now we've busted through 10,000 posts to this forum (and over 16,000 in total) I'm curious - what are your favourite threads so far and are there any worthy of bringing back now we've got so many new users? (NB: Question particularly for the old-timers who can remember those early days threads)

Cheers

Em

I liked the movie sequel thing (I had lots of fun coming up with those). That was by John L I liked Fish's pre-emptive cherrystrike game too, except I managed to get her pretty P.O.ed at me. (I'm still very sorry). I liked e-myths too, by eddie gibbons. (fully entertained by the stories.) I don't remember anything that started over a month ago. That was like two calculus tests ago! I've forgotten what city I come from all ready! Most of all, however, I like the thread about threads by Emily Dubberly! Okay, okay, I liked Sneak's cheese thing too.

Ta Chucks has got to be THE classic thread. Congratulations to Hilda and her Whippet. Ivory's Elf and Unicorn was right up there too. I also thought the Llama stuff was great. Favourite prop: Liana's Pedestal. Threadmeister General - Stormy Petrel.

Karls coke can was the nuts. Having met him it is all so plausable. Hornby-Parsons? Nick Hornby is a fantastic writer because...... 'Fish drops her chips' Ralph

'Misheard Lyrics' - because that was where I first bumped into you lot. Also, it provided me with some answer I used to astound my kids. I liked the Hornby v. parsons things too. And the 'What exactly is Love' because it got so damn serious and uptight when all I did was ask a simple and innocent (no, honestly) question.

Sadly, it would seem that Bobby McGee ran out of lives recently. That will teach him to promote his mistress' work.

goes along with Ta Chuck's & ABCDID. I think the erotica one was started by jake kane but am not sure. LLama's homely countryside poetry should be in there (discuss writing from abc forum). there are some other early ones on gen discussion but I cant go back more than 2 pages and I cannot remember what they were called either. None of these compare to the wit shown in the mr. men thread of course. Gosh, how I laughed.

What about Spags R' Us? If you remember, I got shot with battenbergs by IFB's doorman. Thankfully I have recovered now. But everytime I see one of those cake things I have to see my therapist. Thanks Fish.

I long for the Web Soap again. It had a flurry for a few weeks and got 73 posts and now I miss the Macaw, Lee Culkin, the evil Tracey, her poker-waving landlord father and Bobby Zamora of Brighton and Hove Albion

I have to confess 'Bush Poetry' cracked me up, anything Oz does! Why grudgingly Fish? Do you have a problem with me?

Web Soap, as with Stephen - this was great fun to do, it got me through a period in my dull job where I wanted to dive out of the window and it also got me talking to some top people on the site, notably the Queen of Ivoryness. Am I a whining bitch ? Where things began to get a little heated and we learnt that it is no fun to sit and read what others might think of you - he's a brave guy, you have to give him that. Blokes and tapes Ta Chucks - the menus, the squabbles, the Guy Ritchie movie about dominoes... *sniff* the inadvertent consumption of my once close friend, mistaking him for Southern Fried Chicken. Recently - I am interested in poems about small birds - mad as a (small) goose, but interesting.

it seems like a lifetime ago I know, but you may recall Carly saying "serious discussions available here". meaning her own 'forum' - if we cared to join her. This was after her attempt to moderate us and mould us into the shape she desired failed and just before she won $5 for having a story published (bow, curtsey, worship). I went for a look and so enjoyed reading the critique posts of work in progress I bookmarked the page. Your mention of porn cat minded me to go back and, flicking through the magazine section (lots of geese), I came across the dead pussy article. In fact, now I think of it, it was in her thread about Eric's 'elephant' that I first met Eddie and Robert. This was shortly after I had hi-jacked the thread and refused to hand it back without certain demands being met. so, thanks Carly, that's one thing I do appreciate you for.

Do I get the impression that Carly was actually MORE unpopular in days of yore than yours truly? Surely this can't be! I still feel the chill winds of animosity emanating from the midlands!

hymn. shitty innit that some poor thread-barers get no clicking replies. My favourites are the ones that just get lost and remain 0 to infinity or somewhere in the techie broom-cupboard with the small poems about birds. Remember "aforbing -cruelly overlooked"? That was a classic..not. cheeky little sparrow here comes an arrow tweet..

a chill wind - light but firm - may form in the midlands before becoming unsettled in Annimoss city (shitty innit). hurricane Carly has been downgraded to a hormonal cyclone, so fear not. reina, dear Ena, will be coming soon. the temperature will fall due to minos66. clouds over Mississippi will lighten, smut depending. autumn wit will often be mist. we will keep you updated if any extra-Audenary conditions prevail. forum outlook? - unsettled. there will be snow forecast ever again.
