Learn something every day. I had no idea families had ever been allowed at Gitmo. Interesting. Anyway, well-written piece, though a bit simplistic on the politics. I'm no fan of Gitmo, but it's also not realistic to portray the prisoners as fluffy innocents.

Radiodenver, are you in any kind of military action or do you travel just for the heck of it. My dad is in the Air Force . Before we moved to texas, he was a mechanic for Bush's airplane -the one he flys on most of the time. I have been in the hangar his planes are (he has two planes- the primary and the secondary). I did also go on the president's primary plane, too
