after being initially attracted by weasels and a dog ... i paused over the excerpt (and so many of them are offputting and stop you clicking on a piece) ... anyway i liked it and read the chapter ...
it is fast paced, loony and original ... i like the characters and the ideas and language ...
what do you think?

def would like to read more, which is generally a good sign!
(fish, i originally read "after being initially attracted by weasels and a dog"
as "after being initially ATTACKED by weasels and a dog", as to why you were reticent over the excerpt. a bad childhood memory perhaps?)

I can but agree - an intriguing start - and a wonderful image of London expiring - although I fear it is not.
