I liked this poem and I took it two ways - he was alive and you did your yearly duty or you were visiting a grave? I can identifyy both ways. good poem.

I read the fifth line again and still I read it either way because it could mean a neglected person? Maybe I am reading it wrong. It is good though - have read most of your writings - good reads.

Yep I agree Sky - guess that's the beauty of poetry or prose come to that or even paintings and music - it's up to the reader, viewer or listener to interpret in their own individual way. There is no right or wrong. Ty SSS
