Experiment

I'm redesigning one of my web pages and would like to invite you to visit.

Pics are cool. I thought the music was gonna be too, I love the blues, and thought it was gonna be all slide guitar and laidback rough sound. But then that geezer opened his mouth and it went all "Yee Hah!". Definitley detracted from the picture show, didn't suit them at all. Get some better music.

I quite like the music - maybe you've changed it? It's not very 'yee-hah' - just fairly bland standard US radio-friendly blues. OK but not life changing. The photos though don't seem to have any order or reason for being. I wanted to know where and when they had been taken. What are they attempting to show? That you can take pretty good photographs? You can. But what do they say? And what is the music attempting to say alongside them? Technically it's good but it needs some work on the content.

I've just read your story Heavy Metal which seemed to fit nicely with the picture of the abandoned truck. Like it! Now the only music I heard was a blues by Eric Clapton. Yee ha? Mind you a bit of Howlin' Wolf wouldn't have gone astray. And to skew sideways from the thread, a friend of mine was into Captain Beefheart and when he played me some, I just said "oh he copied his vocal style from Howlin' Wolf." Said friend went apoplectic until I put Howlin' Wolf on. Said friend had to agree. Just thought I'd throw that in. Good work RD.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The music...Styx nailed it...Eric Clapton doing an old Robert Johnson delta blues tune. It's a test for timing...I never intended to leave that up. I'll end up putting an original composition in there. I've never built a flash web page before, thus the phrase "experiment". Visit me http://www.radiodenver.org/
