The things I learn

Over the past year, since my brain capacity was somewhat reduced, I've had to find alternative sources of learning rather than books. Inspector Morse has been a great favourite. I have the boxed set of every series.

Watching one episode tonight and I learned that if somebody commits suicide by jumping, they always remove their glasses first (if they wear them of course) as if going to sleep. If your mangled corpse at the foot of the tower is lying next to their smashed up specs, they were pushed. Thinking about it I certainly would remove my glasses before jumping (not that I have any suicidal inclination) but not sure about removing contact lenses. I think I'd leave them in.

I am sure this information will be of enormous benefit in the future.

Yep! Remember kids - Take their glasses off before your push 'em. **cackles** There's nothing more mind-teasing than the incomprehensible eagerly avowed - Dennet

I once considered suicide by laying my head on the railway tracks (can't make that "a cry for help" eh?). Might have removed my glasses so I couldn't actually see the train, I don't know. I would have gone down to the freight-only line running through South Manchester cos I hate those selfish bastards who suicide on the main line in the rush hour and delay thousands of people. Considerate to the last, that's me.
If I took my glasses off before I jumped I might miss the ground...
