You may already know about this, but I was just made aware of this software, which I downloaded. Apart from the spellcheck, which appears to be American and inflexible, this seems to be a great piece of freeware for anyone who gets frustrated with Word et al.

I've been playing with it for half an hour and it seems excellent.

He says it's got special tools for laying out scripts (which is painful), so could be good. Pity it's only for windows. If you are sick of word, excelt, powerpoint and the rest there is a free alternative that's actually getting quite good these days. http://www.openoffice.org/

Tried the link, Ben, but it wouldn't connect me. I've set up my own template for scripts using macros. Works very well. Anyone want the info, let me know. Ahhh... got it now!

I've been using RoughDraft for a couple of years or so now. It is good, for a free bit of software, but just to make you aware of some drawbacks... 1. the dictionary is somewhat less than complete! I have to double check quite a lot of words via WordWeb, then add them to RD's dictionary. 2. Page breaks not pos (not that I have found, anyway). 3. For some reason, it doesn't always seem to print exactly as you see on the preview. 4. Haven't found a way of un-hyperlinking hyperlinks (so you're stuck with the underlining, which can be annoying). As I said, though, it's generally good, pleasingly straightforward & handy in that the default file type is RTF. ~PEPS~ You canâ€™t finish a man till heâ€™s finished his Texan Bar
