What's worth commenting on?

I feel that I've got something wrong somewhere. The articles that I submit which I really think have got something about them rarely get any comments, yet the things which I think are ordinary sometimes get comments. Do any other subscribers ever feel disappointment at the lack of comment on their efforts?

it works both ways, try commenting more on other people's work and they may comment on yours. you also have to remember individual tastes. what an editor might love, comment on and cherrypick, you might hate. im always suprised a which of my poems get feedback and which go without attention... it can be a pleasant suprise.

I agree, one person's 'awesome' is another's 'doesn't grasp me'. This is reflected by the sheer vastness of different writing on this site these days - keep posting and learn from others' input - it can take your writing in new directions!
