Snow by Orhan Pamuk

I tried to read My Name Is Red but I'm afraid I had to give up out of boredom. I got a fair way in, hoping for the best, but it was so turgid. [%sig%]

Snow is in the ink office at the moment, Nancy. I wanted to review it but it got purloined. Apparently it's superb, but it's not out yet.

Rokkit... ink office? i guess best i can do is take myself down to there and flip through it and see if it's something i want to buy.. books are pretty expensive here and snow in particular costs ₤150 for some reason.. thanks :)

lol.. thanks Rokkit.. but i know myself.. if i feel that the book is remotely interesting i'll end up buying it.. so i'm probably going to pick it up at the right after i get paid so it doesnt seem like that much money.. :)

Hi nancy, a hundred and fifty pounds??? Is this some sort of Egyptian pound? I've seen it offered on the 'Net for $26 which is about a tenth of what you say it will cost you! Mykle.. yeah that's egyptian currency not british.. so that's only about ₤13 british.. but with standard of living/exchange rate etc etc.. books are pretty expensive here..

Hi everybody! We almost read russian and europan clasics in our childrood.Today something chanced. I hope the all words childs know turkish writters !Maybe ,but this idea and tought about this very nice ! bye now.

I read it. It is not the best book of Pamuk. Red was so difficult to read but Snow is not. If you want to meet with O. Pamuk the first book you should read The New Life or The Black Book.

I have read "My name is Red" and at the begining it can look so boredom but if you insist to read you will see differency of novel. it is better than "snow", belive me! best regards.

I am just reading Snow at the moment, a little late, it must be said. I have not finished it yet but am enjoying it very much. Pamuk is fantastic.
