Thank you!!! I feel so happy and proud. The only thing I've ever had published before was a poem and that was when I was 13. The funny thing is - I have written stuff before for competitions that I've felt really good and positive about that came to nothing. In this case I was unsure of the piece. To my mind it seemed a bit simple and basic - although it was written straight from the heart. Perhaps that's a message to me to stop being pretentious and trying to write 'well' and just write from the heart...? Anyway either way I'm so over the moon it's unbelievable!!!! El x

Thanks for the congratulations! Yes I am looking for a job if any of you Brightonites know of one that's going, I'd be most grateful. And finally - I'm being published WOOOO HOOOO! There was a competition where I come from in Scotland to submit a story about a local place that meant something to you. I submitted a piece about the little place I come from and got selected! I will be published in a little anthology in October and have to go to the launch. Hooray!!!

Yeah and I can play this time too! Specially seeing as I just lost my job.... the mum gets the kids back in 3 weeks. Bummer. So now i'm just working 2 hrs per day at Juice Radio - I think finishing at 4.30 is enough time!

Do point out your problems with the site on the 'Help' forum - fingers and mark are looking at them at all times! who's your diriving instructor, Liz? My youngest, who is a maniac, is being put in for her test by her instructor after only 17 lessons and no practice. He must be pretty good if he can deal with her. If you want a change then let me know!

Well I'm off to Scotland tomorrow, for a week, then I'm back for a week then I'm away for a week, coming back on the bank holiday, then I'm home... til Christmas.
