It has everything to do with slippers , dear Fish. Young rooney wears little slippers to go out and play football because he hasn't learnt to do his laces yet. As a result of wearing the slippers, he slips and knackers the knackers of the nasty Portugee wot he is playing against. If only he had learnt to tie his laces like any other little boy then he wouldn't have got into the trouble that he did and we would have won the World Cup.
