Desert Island Discs

Okay - a naff topic, I know... but bugger it!
My choice:
1. Capriccio Italien - Tchaikovsky
2. Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No 2
3. I've Been High - REM
4. There Is A Light That Never Goes Out - The Smiths
5. Your Lucky Day In Hell - Eels
6. Cantique de Jean Racine - Faure (John Rutter and Cambridge Sinfonia)
7. The Only Livin' Boy in New York - Simon and Garfunkel
8. Human Touch - Bruce Springsteen
9. Old Man - Neil Young
10. Hurt - Johnny Cash (with Cocaine Blues on the B side!)
Okay - a fairly conventional line-up - and I've missed out The Clash and The Jam and Led Zep and Nirvana and the Foo Fighters and Mozart and Bach, but fuck it... you have to have what means the most. Probably change 'em all tomorrow anyway!
One I'd HAVE to take if I could only take one? Hurt.
BOOK - wouldn't want the Bible and I've read all the Shakespeare I want to, so I guess I get 3:
All of Us - Raymond Carver
Where I'm Calling From - Raymond Carver
The Grapes of Wrath - Steinbeck
LUXURY: Solar-powered PC on a desk with a drawer containing hemp seeds and a bong.
Now someone take the piss..... I'm sure you're going to!

No, it's not a naff topic... we used to do ABC DID all the time, and it was fab... I think a lot of mine have perhaps changed since last time, i know the book has 1. Jeff Buckley - Last Goodbye/Lover you shouldve come over (special double A side) 2. I am Kloot - Same Deep Water 3. Joy Division - Love will tear us apart 4. REM - Stand 5. Pixies - where is my mind 6. Rolling Stones - Angie 7. Paul Weller - You do something to me 8. Cocteau Twins - This love 9. Foo Fighters - Everlong 10. Johnny Cash Hurt, with NiN's on the other side, because I heard that one first and i still like it a lot. I'll take the bible, good for a laugh, and all that time... need a big book. I'll have shakespeare too, in all that time I might learn to love him. Other book, 'we need to talk about kevin', quite quite brilliant. Luxury item - solar powered shower room with built in radio, tv and internet.
1. ozric's - sunscape 2. soundgarden - blackhole sun 3. pixies - havalina 4. beatles - here, there & everywhere 5. gong - tried so hard 6. sandie shaw - puppet on a string book - notebook luxury - a real doll There's nothing more mind-teasing than the incomprehensible eagerly avowed - Dennet

I'll come to your island, Spartarcad.
The entire collection of Andres Segovia and the entire collection of Johnny Cash, two nubile women (one with big hair and a tattoo of her last boyfriends name on her ass), 10 gallons of Jim Beam, 1 lb of MJ, a umbrella and a good blues harmonica. Oh...and a swiss army knife. *I fell in to a burn'n ring of fire Visit me http://www.radiodenver.org/
