NEW COMPETITION
This one asks you to use two specific phrases in your entry - 'black shoes' and 'prawn sandwich'. There are prizes of £100 for the winners and £25 for the runners up in both prose and poetry sections.

NEW CRITIQUING SERVICE
It's taken us years to find the right person and the right price for this service but at long last we have someone we believe will give you excellent feedback at a reasonable fee. Lorraine Mace is offering a 10% discount on her usual rates to ABCtales members and we think you will find her service excellent.

ABCTALES ROMANCE
We have also launched a sister site so that the single amongst you can find friendship, love and happiness (we hope). It is a dating site that is linked up to an already large database of people with your creative interests at the heart of the 'matching' principle.
So many members of ABCtales have met each other, fallen in love, made great friendships etc. over the years that we felt it was time to try and make it a little easier for you to communicate. The site is here:

SITE UPGRADE
Our wonderful techie, FTSE100, is upgrading the site at the moment to make it faster to use. This may mean that we go 'off air' for an hour or so in the next few days.
Look out for an announcement on the home page as to when this will be. We aim to make it as short as possible.
OTHER STUFF
Blighter's Rock is offering his new book for children 'Of Course You Can Meet The Queen' at a discounted rate to ABCtales members - look out for the announcement on the home page shortly.
We are in discussions at the moment with Unbound about which will be the next book for them from an ABCtales member. I have submitted three very different ideas and they will make the final choice. After that I will be looking at all the new books coming on to the site to select our next author, so keep them coming!
