christmas books

I have asked my hubby for two books this year. To kill a mockin bird, and martina cole new thriller. I was wondering what other stories people might be asking for this year, or any other recommendations I could add to my list.

Well if you want a story with a feel good factor and one that is beautifully constructed and unputdownable I recommend "Holes" by Louis Sachar.

thank you scratch, sounds good to me, i like a book that keeps me init all day, i add that to my list.
Hello w81 Your profile quote. "...wife to one, slave to all three..." You get the books you ask for and you buy hubby books on DIY, Cooking & Child care. All you need to do then is put your feet up and read. Let him do all the work.

Francine Prose, 'Reading Like a Writer' is wonderful. P.F.Kluge 'Biggest Elvis,' for the best opening ever, ever.

thank you cava, im not really into romance but i enjoy all kinds of books really, as long as there gripping.
I recommend The Clamour King by David Muirhead.
Hey, To Kill a Mockingbird is a GREAT book! The movie was no where near as good as the book, though... And if you like humour and mystery mixed in with some romance, then I would recommend the Stephanie Plum series. The first book is called "One for the Money" by Janet Evanovich. Really good series. There's even some in-between-the-numbers books for the series, but I'd recommend reading quite a few of the "number" books from the series first. Well good luck getting the books you want, and Merry Christmas!! Savannah
