I would simply suggest you write the whole book and if cherries come, count your blessings. Then review. Sound fair? Eternal, each chapter has to stand on its own merits. The brilliant thing about this site is that it makes you really strive for excellence. Have a really good look at that last chapter, think about why it was not perhaps as strong as the previous chapters and just march onwards. My third chapter was not cherry picked and neither was any of my work after that for some weeks. I really made me re appraise and that process only makes your writing better. Don't worry, you write really well, keep going.

Ha ha ha don't worry about it Eternal none of mine have been cherry picked but who cares, its not what others really think its what you think that counts. Most on here don't comment anyhow so just write it they way you feel and sod the cherries. Not That keen of fruit myself anyhow he he he. What I would just add, is that sometimes although its great to be encouraged to keep rising to challenges, like cherries, I believe that if your write your own work and from the heart no matter if fiction or not,and people read and like your work, which we obvious do :) then nothing you are given some times or all the times will really matter, because gifts and incentives may come and go, but good writers and smart readers don't.
