just wondering if you talers out there (speaking only of england here as have no international knowledge) ... are aware of the services offered by your regional arts boards?

my own ... East Midlands Arts ... offers annual bursaries to writers as well as other funding streams (for new works and commissions, audience development etc.) as well as funding Literature Development Officers within local authorities ...

these bods (i used to be one) have fairly elastic remits (i say!) but have been known to organise events, workshops blah blah as well as being able to advise writers on a personal basis ...
