This one really choked me up. In fact I wish I could have written something like this. My mum had Parkinson's for nearly 14 years before she died after a stroke. And she was still watching & doing "Countdown" right up to the day she had her 1st stroke. A lovely, tender poem. Thank you.

one of the saddest things about Parkinson's is the fact that the face freezes and expressions are hidden. i get the feeling that this granddad and grandson manage just fine anyway. So eloquently written, i think anyone who has experienced Parkinson's first hand will understand the sentiment expressed in this poem. Juliet

I read carefully, Juliet's critique, ty by the way, and considered maybe I should make a bit clearer what I was really trying to say about the devasting effects that Parkinson's has on people's lives. Think I've improved it slightly. For me, this is a difficult subject.
