Is It Our Fault?

Martin’s ‘Lady Luck’ seems to suggests that our present problems are just part of a cycle and he could be right. After all, I think many people secretly wonder if all the hype about Global Warming might just be another way of controlling the masses.
I had a bad day yesterday with a constant headache and unwelcome thoughts coursing around my head. I found myself posting a very odd ‘quote’ and so today I thought I would try and discover where it originated. My searches led me to this...
Third seal is opened: a black horse appears, its rider holds a pair of scales (famine){5} When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. {6} Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"
Having had a Roman Catholic upbringing I imagined that it was simply the old brain washing reasserting itself in a moment of stress. Still, it was interesting that it mentions the price of food and very coincidental that it says “...do not damage the oil and the wine!"
So, is it simply another turn of the wheel, part of an eternal cycle of more followed by less, of boom and bust, many by few(er)? Could it be the fulfilment of prophecy? Could it be were are meant to think it is?
I think the burning question is not whether Global Warming, changing weather patterns and growing concerns about food prices is just part of a cycle so much as is it natural or man-made spin?
So, what do you think natural, man-made or a bit of both?
