Perhaps

I have no answers. If this provokes outrage, then that's good. Israel has the worst possible leader at the worst possible time. Why does a nation of Persians feel so strongly that Israel should not exist? (I am being disingenuous, it is nothing to do with ethnicity, surely we all know that?) Anyway, if your outrage leads to ill-thought out comments, I won't be answering them. No known copyright issues.

Very, very funny - and if it isn't all absolutely true, well it ought to be. Thanks very much for making me laugh out loud several times.

And you never wrote "Toe Jam" once.

Hi Ed,

Although you found the image you've used on a site called freeimages.com, it is in fact a stock image owned by the big three (Alamy, Getty and Shutterstock) + a few others. Be very wary of sites claiming images are free. Royalty free does not...

A clever idea, indeed.

Some of it doesn't quite scan, though. Or at least, I couldn't make it do so. Perhaps it was the way I read it out loud. I did have two or three goes.

Very funny.

Best, Ewan x

This three-part sci-fi piece of wishful thinking is our Story of the Week and a fitting tribute to the author's dog as well as being a good read.

Do use the links to read the first two.

Hoping to get 500 a day,

but got to resolve the plot first so I can write towards it. [Mind you Chandler didn't tie up loose ends half the time and as for Hammett's The Maltese Falcon... On the other hand, who cares?]

Thank you very much for giving this the time...
