I love the cat too di (it's very Alice in Wonderland) - and you've described the disorientation of the fog really well, but I must say, I'm a bit confused about the grey stuff, and Karen not moving or speaking?
it must be really difficult, because it is his story as you say (and how brilliant that he's forgotten) - but it's also your story and I can't even begin to imagine how traumatic it was for you
