Moving story, showing the plight of the children in an unstable marriage; you've highlighted it. How the oldest child had to become the parent and sort out the troubled marriage by forcing her father to admit his choice; very sad and all too true...

This is an exceptional piece

This is an exceptional piece of writing Paul and I want to do it justice in my comments. First off, it drew me in from the first line; I didn’t feel it was fictional; it felt like I was reading a journal entry because of the realistic flow of...

Human entitlement knows no bounds. Your poetic words poignantly highlight the tragedies caused by man. Your depiction of the dolphin’s plight is terrifying and painful to read in its truth, and makes me wish there was some magic in the world that...

I have to tell you I'm truly enjoying this story and I love it when I see another chapter posted. The characters are likable and believable, I am curious to know what the mother's reasons for leaving her children could be so I'm impatiently...

Great start; it's a well structured and believable story, sad and realistic. Now I want to read the next chapter and see how they manage to keep the secret, and make ends meet.

What an imagination you have

Posted on Sun, 16 Oct 2022

What an imagination you have Di-hard; this reads like Alice in wonderland. Strange goings on for Mary, Wong and a Quartermaster. I loved the surreal quality of the world you've created; it's like a Picasso in words.

A spectral and morose walk

Posted on Sat, 29 Oct 2022

A spectral and morose walk through a graveyard; you’ve captured the essence of Samhain Jenny. The thin veil between life and afterlife is threaded throughout your Poe like poem ; and so apropos to the Season; well done.

Chilling and so well

Posted on Sun, 23 Oct 2022

Chilling and so well structured. No one else saw the girl that befriended Jenny or addressed her. The way you had Jenny walk backwards through the events to get to her conclusion made it a well thought out ending. Another great story Paul.
