George left work early one Friday
And went out with the lads, on a bender
He finally got home to his unhappy wife
On Sunday night after a boozy weekender
After hours of bitching and moaning
George left work early one Friday
And went out with the lads, on a bender
He finally got home to his unhappy wife
On Sunday night after a boozy weekender
After hours of bitching and moaning
THE WISDOM OF MY MIDDLE YEARS # 5
No matter what happens,
I’m at peace as I now know
It doesn’t matter how bad it seems today
It doesn’t matter what the pain or sorrow
Life does go on,
So I will just move on and leave you here
So sad it will hold me back for years
Another mark another score in our black book
So say goodbye while smiling through the tears.
How many more will
Before there is constant maintenance?
Why fat chicks such as myself are wholly despised by patrons of public transportation.
When I broke into one thousand pieces...
Be glad you laughed
Be glad you loved...
The noble art of pugilism
It has often been called
Not all would agree
And some are just appalled
Young fighter Billy Owen
Was barely standing
After being pounded
For three rounds in the ring
THE WISDOM OF MY MIDDLE YEARS # 1
In life there are people
Who love you dearly
But just don't know how
To show it clearly
THE WISDOM OF MY MIDDLE YEARS # 2
I found that by simply sending
Submission for Deviantart's Mythic Poetry competition
It’s a nuisance to care
About these things:
A clean bed, toilet, toilet paper,
Underwear, good food, television.
But I do,
Otherwise I’d go with you.
I care about these things,
I remember Auntie Florrie, who was no kin of mine...
It is too nice a day to be living in England.
(This poem is an homage to two amazing David Berman poems: "Now II" and "Charm of 5:30")
the most horrible thing imaginable had happened
Dirty knickers
Heart shaped stickers
You accept me as I am
When I told you -
I could see you looking at me,
Scanning my face for 'evidence'
As if my illness can be seen.
Emmental!
With crackers.
Knickers, knockers and your knackers.
