What tramps and cats know.
Tramps and cats know that newspaper is warm,
That a sheet underneath is worth 2 on top, (especially with fur)
Both know that freedom is a must,
But can have a high price if it's raining in the night.
They know that food must be taken from any hand,
But does not bind them to any man.
And both know that love, whatever the source,
Can only be cherished when the timing is right.
