I wrote the names
of all the girls
I have ever wanted to be with
on scraps of paper
folded them as small
as they would go
and put them inside balloons
blew them up and released them
into the wind
I visit their houses, one by one
later in trees by the driveway
I photograph them coming home
from work, from supermarkets
stumbling out of taxis at 2am
their arms wrapped around men
far more confident than I
As i wonder about the whereabouts
of the balloons
and gaze out of the window
wondering if one will pass by
I paste the photgraphs
in a scrap book
marked 'Regret'
