Dad, I wonder what we'll do today in this one moment of time?
I want to walk the icy road, your gloved hand holding mine.
I want to go out in the cold and have a snowball fight
And come inside all dripping wet when it turns dark at night.
I want to climb the willow trees in the early days of spring.
I want to dance in flower beds and smile as we sing.
I want to go out on the lake to cool down in the heat.
I want to drink some lemonade with sugar so it's sweet.
I want to make a giant hill of orange, and red and gold.
I want to watch the last few rains before they freeze because it’s cold.
Dad, I wonder what we'll do today in this one moment of time?
I want to spend a whole long year in this one single day.
I just want you to be able to go outside and play.

I like this. It's simple, but touching and that's what makes it effective- the ability to capture the father/child bond with a few simple words.
I love the last line. It sounds like it is a small child saying it and the innocence of this line is somehow very touching.
A good read and a good job well done.
Nathan.
