A great and kindred spirit has passed

as we watched departing rainbow lorikeets

seemingly marking his path across our sadness

immortality escorted far beyond African shores

 

From out the window

we saw the past, though not one lost

in distance or in terms of mankind’s wandering

when being unable to reach out and openly show

the true nature of freedom’s determined heart

has ensured that forever, we will love who we have now become

and you; from within the freshness of our memories

more so now; the longer we remain apart

Hi Rob,

just found your comment on my email. Please don't be sorry, I completely understand and no way has it offended me. I too have been off line for ages, due to the fact I'm desperately trying to finish my story, Dwellers of the New World. I find it hard to concentrate when I'm reading others work, to write, but I've almost finished and will try to get back as soon as possible to reading, though now I have to go over every thing I've written and edit. Still I'm enjoying writing and that's the main thing.

I hope you're well and the weather's being good to you.

YeeHa.... Submit... Submit... Submit.. I fully understand of course then you have a book signing tour, rights negotiations with film studios (probably just to grab control of your name for starters) and ooooooonnnnnnnnnneeeeee day the lovers of your presence will say, "Cor Blimy isn't our Jennifer pulling up in a Rollo?" It's a never ending fact of life, my dear friend, that sometimes in a life too busy it is impossible to read everyone's work!  wink

You good hard write up a storm... take care
