A leaflet dropped through my door today,
It glowed, glistening blue, blameless,
As it hit the floor with a thud,
Safer neighbourhoods was the title,
Written by the police,
I laughed in an ironic sort of way,
Earlier that day a police car had cut me up while I was driving,
Funny old world we live in,
A safer neighbourhood, or just maybe a better police force.

I like this, short, sweet, and to the point. The line "Funny old world we live in," , for myself at least is not needed. It does little either way for the piece other than appearing somewhat like a lack luster seg-way. Besides that though, I have no real nits.
