Hello my fellow writing freinds! I am here to say a quick inspirational piece and announce an upcoming project I will be conducting via youtube. First off, the title says it all: Getting Started. Unlike my other messages and rants I make Im here to ask you 'o precarious, inquisitive writer/reader what it takes for you to get out of the fricken routine of daily life. What does it take to get YOU FUELED in the passionate throes of saying "screw you" to procrastination and getting in the right mindset for putting even a few damn words on paper. I want you to do three simple things:
*SHORT ASSIGNMENT FOR SERIOUS WRITERS*
1. Write a list of dreams, ideas, inspirations etc. on why or why you dont write in the first place! Jot it down!
2. Research your target genre. See what works, what doesn't, and why. See its strengths, weaknesses, trends and everything that makes this genre *tick*. Write it down!!!
3. BE-YOUR-SELF!!! Dont try to be something your not. Create a writing persona that alligns with who you really are. Write a profile of this true writer within you, give it a life of its own!
Thats all my writing freinds, pen it to paper and GET STARTED!!! Only you and you alone can decide the definition of success and failure! Write your answers in the comments below or in your journal. Just get off your ass and do it to it!!! Lets see where you really stand. -Chinobus

As far as youtube, I am considering making some vids on writing, answering questions, and creating an online group for writers, journalists, and creative enthusists around the world wide web. Anyone got advice on this kind of thing? New at this!!!
