I've got into the habit
of pouring out a wine.
When l walk through the door from work,
It happens e v e r y time.
I tell myself "it's only one"
Then suddenly the bottle's gone !!
I wonder how much damage,
I'm doing to myself ??
Cos, very soon, l betcha
Am gonna loose my helf ..

Good flow!! Excessive drinking isn't good for your health. Hope you get over it soon. Is the last word myself or "helf"? If so, would love to know its meaning!

Another goodie. I never drink in the house, too much nervous energy, when I have a voddie I want to sing and dance and move, drinking to watch telly doesn't work for me, but I know many people who use it to unwind, so It's one of those poems that will reach the masses.
