These are dark times ahead
Elusive dreams
On an island
Stranded
The waves frozen
Dutifully calm
Against the sky of Grey
Porcelain
Cups of sand
Grain by grain
Lain on the strand
Of the pier
And the waves gather
Clear as rain clouds shadow
Singing lullabies
Is the sea
Swallows swan the ocean
Smoke drifts
Down to murky waters
Crowded coral life
Somber as the breeze
Dandy seeds
Swift like
Hand in hand
Lovers on the seas
Gone to try
Build their home
Near the burning sands
Find nothing
Ash and spray
Oceans from far away
Alien hands
Concoctions of
The burning hands
Make glass of sands
Harsh voices
Never pray
Break and weave
Sieve and sort
A donkey’s bray
From a smaller horse
To be whisked away
Heavy footsteps
Creep
Sordid
Reflections of a creepy
Holiday
August September
November Yesterday
Dark times cry
Whine and dine
To greet a sign away
Bring out wine
Promote festering
Weltering
Western things

A sombre and moving piece, as if toady's sad times have infiltrated nature.

Thank you Maggy. That's what it feels like; hopefully the shadow doesnt hang over too long
