Fool

from the ABC set The Long and the Short of It...

You call me a fool:
by proxy, using another's words.
This does not anger me,
I'm foolish, this I've always known.
But I do know
the difference between the value
and the price of love.

I am twice a fool
for thinking, that you understand me.
This does so sadden me:
we're different, this I've always known.
But I don't know
the difference between your anger
and your prickly love.
