Debate on human life,
man--or ape--who can tell?
Apparently, not Adam and his wife.
So are we really gonna do this?
Apparently, opposites don't attract,
all the human history that says otherwise,
and it's been wrong, statistical fact.
So are we really gonna do this?
The polar bears, they're nearly extinct!
Never mind that children lie dying,
our own, starving on the street.
So are we really gonna do this?
In defence of a woman's right!
Hawk eggs--untouchable by law--
but human's? Can be snuffed out like a light.
So are we really gonna do this?
America's gone down the drain,
For justice and liberty for all!
And our hurting youth? Only ourselves to blame.
Father please forgive us,
(wait, is that politically correct to say?)
For ignoring You, for warping Your word to our uses,
For choosing the easy path, instead of the narrow way.
Come back to common sense, America!
Come back to your roots!
For the Founding Fathers never meant for this--
the culture of death's rotten fruit.
So here I offer up,
one conservative teen's view.
Though I may be young, I am not brainwashed;
my thoughts are my own; bright, shiny, and new.
