New Beginnings (IP)

New Beginnings.
I remember love;
warm as the heart beats.
Violent as hurt. Steam of a kettle.
Shouts from the street.
.
After we pick ourselves up.
avoid the aftermath. Forget.
We pick our own new beginning.
.
Redesign ourselves, put on a fresh face.
Whiten the Daisy. We'll re-focus.
Brighten, swell, ripen. A newness.
Imagine how urgent. Imagine.

Well done, Maisie. I see a bubbling pot of beans, with explosions of love erupting here and there. I also sense you have been up and down the mountains and through the valleys. And yet you hung onto your hat. Cheers from Richard LP (I have been away for awhile -- am back)

Hey Maisie,
Hey Maisie,
This is a superb effort. Well done on Pick Of the Day!
I've only just read this excellent poem (scratch hangs head in shame) but no matter. It's a really good piece. Sometimes when the muse descends five minutes is all it takes to produce something this good. Other times one can spend an age and only get something mediocre - I should know.
