You always tried to hide
Your thick red hair with a hat.
But your cheeks were
A permanent blush
From school taunting.
You were their clown.
Your fringe fell over one eye
To conceal that it was milky grey
Unlike the other that was sky blue
And my reflection swam in it.
We lay in the back of your car
On the cliff top and my finger
Traces the silver line of a scar
From when you were ten
And had your appendix out.
All those years of avoiding
Swimming pools and public showers.
But I admire you now and know
I have never seen anything more perfect.

For me this poem is especially poignant. Not only is it beautiful in sentiment but in its penmanship, also.

Wow,this is perfect!(Funny how people loathe aspects about themselves what others adore!)

Thanks guys :) It's based on my best friend who is such an amazing person but will never see himself as others do!
