A mother carries a child for ten months in her womb,
For this untold pains and sufferings, sometimes she does succumb.
The child kicks and boots around in her womb,
Drinks her blood and steals her marrow for him to grow and bloom.
Despite this, mother smiles and blesses,
the child to be strong and healthy availing God’s graces.
Delivery is torturous and risky for her,
Still then she tolerates and prays in child’s favour.
After birth for many years, she has to suffer for her child in silence,
Throughout one’s life mother does pray for her child and attends to redress all the child’s grievances,
When the child is ill, mother spends sleepless nights sitting by the side,
Remains hungry and forgets herself for the sake of the child.
But at her old age when she needs care, she is ignored and thrown as wastage,
Hence to her, children are nothing but ungrateful wretches.
Father takes all worries from the our conception in mother’s womb till his death,
He sacrifices every thing in life to see us to move in correct path.
To take our load and to finance us in spite of his cries and crisis,
So that we grow and earn our livelihood with joy and prestige.
He must have spent many a woeful moment and sleepless night,
To make us men of value in the society.
When he becomes old and is in tatter ,
We discard him as garbage without taking any care ,
we are nothing but ungrateful wretches,
all these from above the Almighty God watches,
Our teachers and society enable us to learn, grow and prosper,
But we are ungrateful wretches; we do not bother when they suffer.
Many friends love us and stand in our difficult time like holding our crutches,
We forget soon, as we are ungrateful wretches.
Our life on earth is sustained because of nature and environ,
But we are ungrateful wretches, for our greed and pleasure we go for their destruction
God gives us so many boons and blessings for our survival and sail smoother in our life’s voyages,
We forget and destroy His creation and work against His will because we are ungrateful wretches.
