WHINGING AND MOANING

from the ABC set Down the line.

Don’t you just hate it when
You are stuck in a jam on the M6,
swapping lanes, crawling forward
(The grey rain beating down hard)
Don’t you hate it?

Don’t you just hate it when
The supermarket queue you are in closes
“Please move to another one”
Don’t you hate it?

Don’t you just hate it when
You go through six recorded telephone options and hear
“All our operators are busy, please call back later”
Don’t you hate it?

Don’t you just hate it when
Your boss is always busy and running away
Too busy today
Don’t you hate it?

Don’t you just hate it when
It’s Friday night again
and all you have is TV
Don’t you hate it?

Don’t you just hate it when
You wake up thinking it’s OK
Then last night’s drunkenness hits you
Don’t you hate it?

Don’t you just hate it when
The people you love
treat you like an inconvenience
Don’t you hate it?

Don’t you just hate it when
The girl you are crazy about rings to say
“I can’t see so much of you any more”
Don’t you hate it?

Don’t you just hate it when
Your belly gets fat
and your hair gets thin
Don’t you hate it?

Don’t you just hate it when
You are feeling this way
Time to fuck off
Don’t you hate it?

No, actually I really liked it, especially the bit about waking up thinking you're all right. The repetition works really well too.
