Light begins to sink
upon the night, redemption
pain and sadness await,
righteousness swept aside
they tormented Him, our Jesus
shamed Him, scourged
and defiled His kindness, the
Word designed for our salvation.
Lifting His head to the Father,
remembers on His knees
in Gethsemane, the kiss of Judas.
“Not my will but Yours,” He intoned
then rising to His feet prepared
for the final journey of our salvation.
Now He represents the sins
of our existence and exchanges
His Divine life for ours.

Hello R, thank you kindly for your comment. As I continue my journey in life---dwelling on the longtime future does not escape me. We should have a personal faith and mine is in Jesus. Have a great day. Richard and Esther Prov

Merci, Jacques. I believe each of us has been given a gift. And we must remember where it came from. Chimo. Richard LP

Sometimes I forget about the horrific sacrifice made by our Saviour, and thankfully the Holy Spirit reminds me. Blessings. Richard LP
