SEA GYPSIES poem

Sea Gypsies

are content sailing off the
islands of Burma
wanting no material
things. Happy in their ancient
rituals of handmade boats,
living day to day
seeking crab, spearing
fish, gathering their mollusks
lobsters, mussels
and oysters. Each day life
is a celebration.

A beautiful picture you paint with your words here, Richard. You say so much with so few words. Enjoyed.

Thank you, Tina. My wife, Esther, inspires me with her paintings. Thus, I wish to paint my poems with words that linger. Your comments are much appreciated. Richard LP
