all the pain vanished,
the heart's shadow lit with sun...
the soul's door opened
the night opens up
before me like a regal
road of creation
a young blonde beauty
becomes a Picasso in
white powder sunlight
slice of veg pizza
delicious and gigantic
sustains my body
"Romeo" Jack Bruce
sings his ode of snorted love;
guitar howls dove-like

fatigue sets in slow,
spiritual exertion
begs for dream-lit sleep

Sorry to correct you Sean- that is a Cream track not Jimi Hendrix- it's Sunshine of your love.. I don't know why there is a picture of Hendrix- strange.. I don't believe he ever did that one?
Anyway a nice Haiku Sean

I really appreciate the correction, Highhat. It saves the credibility of these haiku I worked hard on. I'm from a different generation and only passingly familiar with Cream or Jimi Hendrix... though I really enjoy both artists it seems.

I can quite understand why you enjoy those artists. I am from the 60's so I enjoy them no end...and am so pleased to know that newer generations also enjoy them Sean. My son who is 20 even enjoys some of the music I do!

lol. how could it have been working for you... I still had the wrong artist singing. Now at least, aesthetic questions aside, it's accurate. Originally of course I was thrown off by the picture of Jimi Hendrix, which would naturally lead a person to assume the song was by Jimi Hendrix. I always thought Eric Clapton's "cocaine" song would be meaningful to me when I took it but it really didn't ring with me... it was that Cream song that spoke to me. anyway, all my best
