from the ABC set ∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙this poem book that he gave

no churches, no vows,
no rings, no bells,
no bridesmaids, no dresses.
such traditions stifle
the wolf in the soul.
dungeons and chains,
whips and carts,
knives and straight jackets.
therein is life,
a glistening lotus
floating on a moistened pond,
breath's air.
