A breeze sweeps in
engulfing
momentary talk
eclipsing conscious seeds
of awareness
and
monologue thoughts
Rushing loudly
it switches
in and out of trunks
nudging twigs it twitches
old husky lumps
of branches
and bark
Shifting
stagnating heat
it bends silent lines
creates all manner of shapes
and
forms cooler climes
powerful
yet gentle
it shatters the warm afternoon silence
as I lay placid
beneath a summer tree
Leaf orchestras play
some two thousand strong
a breeze swept in a symphony
of mother nature song
From brown to green they sing
a joyful swaying prance
clip a'clap with rhythm
tip to top they dance
a wave of air and music
breaking over me
in swirling
caressing
tune
endless blue blanket hung
a dot of early moon
The hum grows louder
like a distant ancient sea
ebbing back and forth
back and forth with me
a shimmering horizon naked
a hazy landscape spread
east to west it twinkles
the view inside my head
A trip of clifftop visions
from heart
from front
to back
the breeze rolls on so soothing
a roaring
now
soundtrack
And I drift
onward
toward the edge of night
