Words Of Like Frequency

Words are fashioned to tell or twist the truth
of many kinds of things.
For the best of us, or the most cowardly, perhaps
they are carefully considered at all times,
but in the case of daft adventurers like me,
sometimes they just happen.

The mutterings of the brave and the reckless 
grow unchecked, unnoticed almost.
They gather into clutches of like frequency
until they are strong enough to escape,
and when they escape, well.....

When words of like frequency escape
from crazy men and women's ill barricaded minds
they play seemingly random tunes on tongues
concerning stories unreflected.
Like eggs from broken shells they pour raw into the world
naked snippets unconsidered, uncensored
and saturated with a sometimes hideous,
sometimes incomparably beautiful magic.
These chance ambassadors from the untamed core of our souls
soothe or slice their way through the skulls of others
to be misconstrued
or ousted in undisguised revulsion,
or if you're very fortunate indeed and God loves you
they might be absorbed as intended,
coveted and held close to the heart
where they bridge the infinite gap between.
