Teeny, tiny Tina;
little ballerina;
see her dance and skip
on my finger tip.
If she trips, she’ll land
right here in my hand.
----------------
Two teddy bears
go beddybyes,
climbing the stairs,
closing their eyes.
All warm and cosy,
off to sleep they float,
their pillow for a billowing sail,
their bed; a wee dream boat.
---------------
Tim-tom-tum,
Little Tom Thumb
ran round the farmyard
and rattled his drum;
woke up the farmer
who lay fast asleep,
woke up his horses,
the pigs and the sheep.
Then, when the farmer came out with his gun
home again, quickly, ran little Tom Thumb.
--------------
Jumping on your bed’s
a funny feeling,
till you bump your head
upon the ceiling.
------------
I know why rhinoceroses have horns;
so they can smell roses without feeling thorns.
-------------
Once a little ladybird
landed on my nose,
looked into my eyes and said,
“Oh dear me! What are those?”.
“These are my two eyes”, I said,
“The things through which I see”,
but then I blinked and then, I think,
it blinked right back at me.

These are great. I don't think people understand how difficult it is to write for children, they a much harder to please!! I think Nursery Schools would love these as alternatives and to spark the children's imagination. I was shocked to hear that most parents don't even know the original nursery ryhmes these days. Well done, great work xx ;)

Thankyou, very much, hannahhepton. I've always loved Nursery rhymes.
I spent alot of time studying Mother Goose on Project Gutenberg, plus there are a few helpful websites devoted to Nursery rhymes and their history/meaning.
Very glad that you thought these resembled proper
Nursery rhymes.
